Accompanist:

Butler Global Methodist Church is seeking a part-time Accompanist to provide
instrumental music (piano, organ, keyboard, etc.) that enriches our worship services,
choir rehearsals and special events. The ideal candidate is proficient in traditional and
contemporary church music and collaborates well with the pastor, staff, and volunteers
to enhance congregational worship through music.

Qualified candidates should possess:

• High school diploma (bachelor’s degree in music or related field preferred)

• 1 year experience in a similar position (2+ years preferred)

• Dependable, punctual, and organized

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Supports the church’s mission and values

 

Key responsibilities include:

​

• Provide accompaniment for services, rehearsals, and church events

• Collaborate with the pastor on music selection

• Communicate effectively with staff and volunteers

• Perform for Christmas, Easter, and other liturgical events

• Assist with additional services as needed​

 

This is a parttime, salaried position offering 5 hrs/week, with 2 paid Sundays off/year.
(Includes choir practice and Sunday services)
$175/week.

Anticipated time commitments:

​

• Sunday, 9:30 am - Noon Worship Service (plus pre-service practice)

• One hour to 1 ½ hour per week for Choir Practice (September – May)
